Listening for Signal | Council on the Uncertain Human Future

A new video dialog, including Lama Willa, is being released through Clark University. It is the Council on the Uncertain Human Future and includes reflections on how the contemplative perspective is important in the process of healing the earth. The original Council on the Uncertain Human Future held a reunion meeting at La Mesita Ranch (Pueblo of Pojoaque) in northern New Mexico in February 2016. Drawing on earlier conversations on the climate crisis, they raised new questions about why it is happening, who are we as humans and how we might respond. In Listening for Signal, they extend their conversations and questions to us.

We recognize that all people hold unexamined beliefs, assumptions, fears and prejudices about others, and especially those who seem different from themselves. These beliefs are a great source of suffering for individuals and societies. We welcome people of all races, cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, classes, religions, abilities and ages. We are committed to providing a safe place for all people to explore the dharma and awaken to their true nature.
